Who this is for
TVT was built for professionals who already work with bodies: stretch coaches, personal trainers, performance coaches, massage therapists, athletic trainers, chiropractors and physical therapists. If you treat clients with pain, restriction or mobility limits and want a faster, repeatable way to help them move, this is the training.
What you learn
How high-frequency vibration differs from percussion and why that matters around the spine, hands, feet and jaw. The L.O.V. Principle (Lengthen, Oscillate, Vibrate) that structures every protocol. The baseline test that proves results to a client in real time. The full contraindications and precautions chart. And all 24 professional protocols, table and cage, step by step.
How certification works
Eight modules with a graded knowledge check on each. A scope-and-safety gate you must pass before any hands-on module opens. A 24-question written exam drawn from a bank of 108. A recorded practical reviewed and signed off by Dr. Matt. Then a registered certificate with a unique ID that verifies online.
The eight modules
- Foundations: what TVT is and why it works
- Scope, safety and red flags
- The HF Vibration Device: broad or targeted application, mild to moderate pressure
- The movement screen and baseline test
- Table protocols (12)
- Cage protocols (12)
- The client experience and home programs
- Certification: written exam, practical and certificate
Questions people ask
Who created Targeted Vibration Therapy?
Dr. Matt Gloyd, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of PT3 in Scottsdale, Arizona. TVT is his proprietary system that combines high-frequency vibration with precision positioning and a set of protocols he developed in clinical practice.
Do I need to be a physical therapist to get certified?
No. The certification is designed for stretch coaches, trainers and other movement professionals as well as clinicians. Scope-of-practice rules are taught in Module 2 and every coach must pass that gate before the hands-on modules unlock.
How long does the TVT certification take?
Most coaches complete the online modules in one to two weeks of part-time study, then record their practical. The pass mark is 75% on every knowledge check, the written exam and the practical.
What device do I need?
An HF Vibration Device: a high-frequency, short-stroke vibration tool rather than a percussion massage gun. Module 3 covers the device, the two application choices (broad or targeted tip) and pressure.
